How can we help?

Quick answers for recipe detection, Pro activation, saved recipes and common setup problems.

Email support

Recipe detection

Make sure you are on the recipe itself, refresh the page after installing RecipeSnip, then click Snip this recipe.

Activate Pro

Open Settings → RecipeSnip Pro, paste the license key from your Gumroad receipt, and choose Activate.

Move saved recipes

Open My Recipe Box and choose Export. On the other Chrome installation, choose Import and select that backup.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Common questions.

RecipeSnip says “No recipe found.”+

RecipeSnip currently works on pages that publish standard Recipe schema data. Try opening the page’s individual recipe rather than a homepage, category page, search result, or print preview. Refresh the tab and try again. Some websites do not provide compatible data.

The extension does not respond after installation.+

Refresh any recipe tabs that were already open when RecipeSnip was installed or updated. Confirm RecipeSnip is enabled at chrome://extensions, then reopen the recipe and click the toolbar icon.

Where is my Gumroad license key?+

Open the RecipeSnip purchase receipt or your Gumroad Library. Copy the license key exactly, without extra spaces. If the receipt does not display one, contact support and include the purchase email—never send payment-card details.

My valid license will not activate.+

Confirm you are online, paste the key again, and check that the purchase has not been refunded, canceled, disputed, or activated on more than three installations. Send support the exact error message and purchase email if it continues.

Where are saved recipes kept?+

They are stored locally in Chrome’s extension storage. They do not automatically sync between computers. Export a backup before uninstalling RecipeSnip, clearing browser data, or changing computers.

How do I protect my license key?+

Treat it like a password. Do not post it publicly or include it in screenshots. AmericanPlugins support will never ask for your payment-card number.

STILL STUCK?

Send us the details.

Include the recipe URL, your Chrome version, what you expected, and the exact error message. Screenshots help, but cover any license key first.
